Lindsay Lohan arrives at the 'Scary Movie 5' premiere at the ArcLight Cinemas Cinerama Dome on April …

Lindsay Lohan has taken to her website to combat reports claiming she ditched the Venice Film Festival premiere of her latest film, "The Canyons."

"Along with the positive messages and words of support of 'The Canyons' at VFF, I am sending my own to the cast, producers and the amazing Paul Schrader. I am so grateful for the extraordinary experience of being a part of this film. Unfortunately, I have to clear up these reports," the actress wrote in message posted on her website on Saturday, titled "About Venice." "I was never confirmed to attend."

Lindsay said she wanted to attend, but chose to stay away from tempting party environments in light of her recently completed stint in rehab and commitment to sobriety.

"Of course, I would have enjoyed returning to that wonderful city and being a part of this amazing event, but my focus is on my health and well-being," she wrote. "Plain and simple, it is of the utmost importance."

Lindsay will soon be seen in a guest-starring role on HBO's "Eastbound & Down" alongside Danny McBride.
