Lindsay Lohan questioned by police about theft at Hollywood home

Lindsay Lohan just can’t seem to stay out of trouble. The “Liz & Dick” actress is suspected of being involved in a theft that took place at a Hollywood Hills home where she spent the night on Saturday following a party. When the owner woke up the next morning, the unidentified person realized several expensive watches and sunglasses were missing and detained everyone until police arrived to investigate, reports TMZ. When cops arrived, the owner of the multi-million-dollar home told them that he/she believed the thieves were two men whom Lohan brought along with her to the all-nighter (shockingly, she was also there with her 16-year-old brother, Cody). But when law enforcement attempted to question the 26-year-old about the crime, she refused to cooperate. “Am I a suspect?” she asked, according to TMZ. When the officer said “No,” Lohan took off.

But just because she won’t talk, doesn’t mean Lohan is necessarily off the hook. The burglary is still under investigation.

If Lohan is involved, it would not be the first time she has been connected to an expensive item going missing. In February 2011, she was charged with the theft of a $2,5000 necklace from a Los Angeles jewelry store after she asked to try it on – and then walked out wearing it. Lohan was sentenced to 120 days in jail and 480 hours of community service. Although her supervised probation ended in March, she is still on informal probation for that crime until May 2014.

The stolen necklace is the only time Lohan has been charged with a crime of that nature, but she’s certainly been linked to others. In June 2009, $400,000 worth of jewelry went missing from an Elle magazine photo shoot featuring the actress. Lohan’s excuse was that nearly 20 people were present at the shoot and any one of them could have made off with the items. Before that, in May 2008, Lohan was photographed exiting a New York City nightclub in an $11,000 fur coat, which was stolen from a table that night. (On her way into the club, she had been snapped sporting a black jacket.) Two weeks later, a representative for the “Mean Girls” star returned it to the rightful owner, but the pricey coat reeked of cigarette smoke and was stained and ripped. Weeks after that, Lohan was accused by a former friend of lifting thousands of dollars worth of clothes from her closet during a party. Five witnesses “all said they saw Lindsay Lohan, basically in my closet, handing a bag full of clothes to her bodyguard,” model Lauren Hastings told “Inside Edition” at the time. “I contacted Lindsay and said, 'Look, I know you stole my clothes.' She then said I was completely delusional, I was pathetic."

How can one woman be connected to so many missing things?
