Lindsay Lohan blaming Suge Knight’s son for jewelry theft: report

Has no one told Lindsay Lohan you don’t mess with Suge Knight? The “Liz & Dick” actress is reportedly blaming Andrew Knight, the self-proclaimed son of the Death Row Records CEO, for stealing $100,000 worth of jewelry from the Hollywood home of movie producer Sam Magid during an all-night party last week – a crime in which she has been named a suspect.

According to TMZ, Magid told police that he has been in contact with the two guys – one of whom is Knight – that Lohan had let into his home during the party before some of his watches, sunglasses, and Tiffany monogrammed silverware disappeared. Apparently, they told him that the actress had given them a bag with the stolen items wrapped in a T-shirt. Although the men later returned the items to Magid, some stuff was still missing. When Magid then spoke to Lohan, she admitted she “hid” the belongings in his own home so burglars would not find them – the only problem is she also admitted to being on Ambien and therefore has a hazy memory as to where she exactly put them.

Magid also told LAPD detectives that the troubled 26-year-old, who is still on probation for stealing a necklace in January 2011, said to him, “I’m sorry. Please pray for me.”

TMZ reports that Knight – who claims to be the son of the man accused of arranging the 1997 murder of rapper Biggie Smalls – has adamantly denied to police that he was the mastermind for the jewelry theft … and they apparently believe him, which is why they named Lohan as the suspect (in addition to her assistant, Gavin Doyle).

Lohan’s lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, is going to be very busy because in addition to this crime, her client is also on the hook for having lied to police in Santa Monica after her June car accident in which she crashed her rented Porsche into an 18-wheeler on the Pacific Coast Highway. During questioning, Lohan insisted she wasn’t the one driving, which wasn’t the case according to witnesses and even her own assistant, who LiLo tried to say was the one behind the wheel. She reportedly later said the car’s brakes malfunctioned … another claim which was also proven false.

In both cases, Lohan’s lawyer has told police she is not interested in talking to them … unless they charge her with a crime.

For now, she’s been laying low in New York.
