'Lincoln' Sweeps Critics' Choice Nominations

Steven Spielberg's epic biopic Lincoln has earned a record-setting 13 nominations for the 18th annual Critics' Choice Movie Awards.

Among the other top nominees announced Tuesday by the Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA) were Les Misérables with 11 nominations and Silver Linings Playbook with 10. Life of Pi earned 9 nominations, while Argo, The Master and Skyfall each garnered 7.

With its 13 nominations, Lincoln beat out previous record holder Black Swan, which garnered 12 nominations in 2011. Among the Critics' Choice nominations for Lincoln are Best Picture, Best Actor for Daniel Day-Lewis, Best Supporting Actor for Tommy Lee Jones, Best Supporting Actress for Sally Field, Best Acting Ensemble, Best Director for Steven Spielberg and Best Adapted Screenplay.

Among the nominations for Les Misérables are Best Picture, Best Actor for Hugh Jackman, Best Supporting Actress for Anne Hathaway, Best Acting Ensemble and Best Director for Tom Hooper.

David O. Russell's Silver Linings Playbook was also nominated for Best Picture, as well as Best Actor for Bradley Cooper, Best Actress for Jennifer Lawrence, Best Supporting Actor for Robert De Niro, Best Acting Ensemble, Best Director for David O. Russell, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Comedy, Best Actor in a Comedy for Bradley Cooper and Best Actress in a Comedy for Jennifer Lawrence.

The 18th annual Critics' Choice Movie Awards will broadcast live on The CW on Thursday, January 10 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT.
