Channeling her inner Dr. Phil, LeAnn Rimes explained to Giuliana Rancic why she and her current husband Eddie Cibrian had an affair while both were married to other people.
"I never, ever in my heart want to hurt anyone. But… I don't think anything can separate anything that's super-connected," America's newest marriage expert told the E! News anchor during an interview Friday. "You might have had so many wonderful things with each other's spouses in your relationships, but something along the way broke that. You can't break what's broken already."
Rimes also suggested she and the "Playboy Club" star carefully deliberated about their choice to cheat. "No one, because this is Eddie and my personal conversation, will ever understand how much thought and hurt, even towards each other, were put into our decision," she said, punctuating her remarks with ring-adorned hands, as the bewildered Rancic nodded empathetically.
The "How Do I Live" singer and "CSI: Miami" actor met while co-starring in a made-for-TV film called "Northern Lights," and they marooned their respective mates soon afterward. Cibrian is the father of two sons with "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Brandi Glanville, and since his re-marriage a Twitter war has ensued between her and Rimes, the boys' self-anointed "bonus mom."
The psoriasis sufferer is not the only celebrity to cry on camera. Here are some other stars who got teary-eyed in public.
Miley Cyrus Cries Accepting Kids Choice Award
Maybe she was crying because it wasn't a Grammy, but a few years back Miley Cyrus surprised everyone when she got weepy accepting the Kids Choice Award for Favorite Female Singer. "I was a little embarrassed," the "Hannah Montana" star later told MTV. "But then again, I shouldn't be. It meant something to me because it's from the kids…. Honestly, I didn't think I was going to win it. It just made my day that I did. It means a lot to me."
Ellen DeGeneres Sobs About Pet Saga
In another famous "It's my party I can cry if I want to" moment, Ellen DeGeneres turned into a sad sack on her own talk show as she explained to her audience why she wouldn't be her usual sunny self that day. "Today is a hard day for me," she said. "I am not capable of coming out and pretending to be funny when things are going so terribly wrong right now." What was wrong was the blonde pixie had given her rescue pooch to her hairdresser's family after figuring out he couldn't get along with her cats. The rescue group, Mutts and Moms, snatched the dog away from the new family because it hadn't approved the transfer, leaving the hairdresser's 12-year-old daughter heartbroken.
Heidi Montag Has Meltdown Over Reality Show
Mistakenly thinking surviving in the jungle with other celebrities was going to be more like having tea with the queen, Heidi Montag broke down on camera in one of the most over-the-top reality TV show meltdowns ever. The pre-plastic surgery "Hills" star turned into a waterfall talking to an offstage producer from "I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!" as she wailed about all the "mean people," "bug bites" and horrific prank of someone (gasp!) removing the label from her shampoo bottle.
