Major changes are coming to Last Man Standing. Not only will it be airing on a new night (Fridays), but the Tim Allen comedy is getting a new showrunner and has dropped series regular Alexandra Krosney.

ABC to bring back TGIF with Tim Allen and Reba McEntire

Tim Doyle (Rules of Engagement) will replace Kevin Abbott as showrunner of the ABC comedy. Abbott will keep his executive producer title, but will now serve as showrunner for Reba McEntire's new sitcom Malibu Country, Entertainment Weekly reports.

As for Krosney? The 22-year-old actress, who played Kristin Baxter, the daughter of Allen's Mike and Nancy Travis' Vanessa, has been let go from the show for "creative reasons," according to TVLine. Sources say the role of Kristin Baxter will be recast.

ABC will attempt to revitalize TGIF this fall by pairing Last Man Standing with Malibu Country.
