Lamar Odom Decides He Could Give Up The NBA For Acting & Reality TV

Wow! The $40 million deal that the Kardashians just inked with E! has convinced Lamar that his future career could seriously be on TV and NOT the basketball court!

Kris Jenner wins again! First she landed the biggest reality deal in history – congrats Kris – and now she has done what once seemed impossible. She’s convinced son-in-law Lamar Odom that his career future lies in TV, NOT on the basketball court.

Hollywoodlife.com has learned exclusively that “Lamar is now confident that his new reality TV career could lead to more TV and film work,” a source close to Lamar tells Hollywoodlife.com exclusively. “He believes that with the success of Khloe & Lamar and his ties to Kris Jenner, it will allow him to get a job as a sports analyst and also get some acting gigs in the future.”

It appears that Lamar, 32, believes that his NBA future is limited and while he still wants to play in the NBA, he is seeing the writing on the wall and has convinced himself that he should focus on his future beyond basketball.

“Lamar thinks he could make a transition into acting like Ice Cube, Ice-T and fellow former basketball star John Salley, who became the host of The Best Damn Sports Show Period on Fox Sports network,” the Odom insider tells Hollywoodlife.com exclusively.

No wonder Kris Jenner was out happily shopping with Lamar in NYC on Monday, April 23 and tweeting that she was shopping with “my son.” She was thrilled she had overcome his reluctance to shoot another season of Khloe & Lamar.

Well – on one hand, we’re glad that Lamar is feeling better about himself and his future but we don’t know if he should hang up his NBA shoes just yet. What do YOU think HollywoodLifers? Is it time for Lamar to quit basketball for good and become an actor… or not?
