Filters don't really exist in Kristin Cavallari's world. So when the former reality star appeared on HuffPost Live to plug her latest project, and the topic of Lauren Conrad came up, she didn't hold back.
Host Caitlyn Becker asked the pregnant-again star, 27, if she was sick of the comparisons between former nemesis Conrad, 28, and herself.
"Yeah of course, but it's been a part of my career since day one," Cavallari mused. "I've been getting them for 10 years. I expect it, it is what it is. It doesn't bother me. There's worse people to be compared to."
After the pair fought for Stephen Colletti's affection on the first two seasons of MTV's hit reality series Laguna Beach, they went on to separately take the lead role on the spin-off show The Hills. Conrad narrated the often-scripted series for the first five seasons before Cavallari took over for the final season and a half.
In recent years, the two have buried the hatchet with Cavallari sitting front row at Conrad's 2008 fashion show and posing together at The Hills wrap party in 2010.
And Cavallari's new costar Orly Shani thinks that her new show The Fabulist will give fans a chance to see the real Kristin.
"This show really does allow Kristin's true personality to shine, which is very different from what she played on that show," Shani said of Cavallari's wild child persona from The Hills. "It was a whole different thing. This show she really gets to show who she is and she's so wonderful, people are going to fall in love with her."
