Kristen Stewart Reading ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ – Who Else Wants to Play Anastasia Steele?

Kristen Stewart might actually be interested in starring in "Fifty Shades of Grey," the movie based on the erotic novel that started out as "Twilight" fanfiction - or at least she finally started reading the book.

When Moviefix asked Kristen if she'd be interested in playing Anastasia Steele, a naïve college student who gets seduced by billionaire sadomasochist Christian Grey, she had this to say: "I don't know yet, I haven't finished reading the book."

Obviously she and her boyfriend Robert Pattinson are popular choices to play Anastasia and Christian because of the book's "Twilight" connection, but they've got some tough competition and seem to be getting more and more of it week after week.

"The Vampire Diaries" star Ian Somerhalder has made it abundantly clear that he's interested in playing Christian (he even has the blessing of girlfriend Nina Dobrev), and Colin Egglesfield has also said that he thinks that he can handle the challenging role.

Colin's "The Client List" costar Jennifer Love Hewitt has made it known that she really wants to play Anastasia Steele, but unfortunately the sexy star is just a bit too old for the role. Meanwhile more and more young actresses are coming forward to let "Fifty Shades of Grey" fans know that they would love to star in some extremely awkward sex scenes as Ana.

Selena Gomez said that "Fifty Shades" is "too spicy" for her, but her "Spring Breakers" costar Ashley Benson has read every book in the trilogy and says that she thinks playing Ana would be "very, very amazing." Her "Pretty Little Liars" costar Lucy Hale also covets the role, saying that she thinks playing Ana would be "freaking awesome" after the book left her speechless.

Emma Roberts has also thrown her name in the hat even though she admits that she hasn't read the book yet. However, perhaps she realizes just how racy erotic novels can be after starring in the movie "Adult World" -- in it she plays a college student who works at an adult book store. Then there's Kristen's "Twilight" costar Ashley Greene, who is one step ahead of K-Stew -- she's actually read the book, which should come in handy if she decides that she wants the role.

So do you think that any of these actresses would be perfect for the part, or do you have some better "Fifty Shades of Grey" casting ideas? Sound off in the comments!
