Kristen Stewart won't be winning any fashion awards for the ill-fitting red Stella McCartney jumpsuit she wore to the Met Gala last night.

The number made the fashionable young actress look like she was being held hostage inside the Goodyear Blimp.

Sadly, K-Stew was not the only star who got it wrong at the ritzy event, a celebrity-packed soiree that is often referred to as the "fashion prom."

Leading the unfashionable pack was Kim Kardashian, who actually looked passable from the neck up with a sleek pony tail and pouty red lipstick. However, the rest of her body (including her gloved hands) was covered in a garish floral fabric that made her look like a "walking couch."

Another fashion-miss was Ashley Olsen, who wore a Christian Dior dress with a gauzy orange overlay that made her look like a cross between a pumpkin and an angel. Happily, she will get double use from the horrid frock because she can wear it again in October as her Halloween costume.

Elle Fanning, 15, looked like she missed the memo on this year's punk theme, getting her decades mixed up with a Rodarte tie-dyed disaster that looked like a relic from the '60s. Fortunately, her weird eye makeup, which made her look like a little girl who got into mommy's makeup stash, steered the focus off the dress.

Meanwhile, frugal Madonna saved money on pants, pairing her plaid jacket with nothing but a fishnet body stocking. The my-underwear-is-showing shtick may have worked for Madge in the past, but now she looks like she's trying too hard to forget that she's 54. Factoring in the pink spiky-heeled shoes, the Material Girl looked more hookerish than hot.

Nicole Richie gets points for wearing a pretty cream-colored Topshop dress, but she ruined the whole effect with matronly blue-gray hair. We get that she was trying to look punk, but someone needs to tell Nikki not to get hair color advice from Kelly Osbourne.

Speaking of the fashion police, the usually stylish Sarah Jessica Parker deserved a ticket for the Giles Deacon gown she wore. The billowy bottom of her dress made it look like she was planning to steal a Rodin and hide it under her skirt to take home.
