Kim Kardashian headed to the Marin Corps. ball.

Talk about a hot date! Kim Kardashian is the latest celebrity to accept an invitation to the annual Marine Corps Ball. It seems as though inviting a celebrity is becoming a part of the tradition for many Marines. Kardashian joins a list of famous celebrities who have honored our military men and women by joining them at the ball. Here is a look at Kim's night out, plus some other stars who have attended in the past.

Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian attended the 2012 Marine Corps Ball with Sgt. Martin Gardner. Never one to be understated, Kardashian showed up for the event in a skin-tight red Roland Mouret gown. The mermaid silhouette totally accentuated her curves, and judging by pictures of the evening, was well-liked by Sgt. Gardner.

Mila Kunis

"Black Swan" star Mila Kunis accepted an invitation to the Marine Corps Ball in Greenville, North Carolina, last year as the guest of Captain Scott Sasser. Kunis wore an understated yet elegant black dress for the occasion. Capt. Sasser created a YouTube video while he was stationed in Afghanistan, inviting the actress to join him at the ball. Like a true patriot, Kunis accepted and made the young man's wish come true.

Justin Timberlake

In 2011 Justin Timberlake also accepted an invitation to the Marine Corps Ball. He was Corporal Kelsey DeSantis' date for the evening. Not only did Timberlake attend the ball, he also wrote a moving blog post about the night for his website. He talked about the unforgettable evening, and how he was "almost brought to tears," at one point during the night. Timberlake seemed to be honored and humbled by the invitation.

Linda Hamilton

After Sgt. Ray Lewis extended an invitation to Betty White last year and although White was flattered she was not able to attend the event. Cue "Terminator" star Linda Hamilton! The leading lady came to the rescue and offered to take White's place at the ball. She posted a YouTube video in which she begged Sgt. Lewis to take her to the party. Her invitation was accepted, and the two enjoyed the evening together.
