Kiefer Sutherland is making his return to TV this spring.

Actor Kiefer Sutherland is ready for his return to television. He will star in the new series "Touch" beginning on March 22. The actor recently talked about making his return to television after recently ending his long run on "24." Based on how excited he sounds about the new show, Sutherland could have another great role on his hands. The actor has kept busy for nearly 30 years and has many great roles to his credit. Here is a look at some of the best performances from the talented actor.

Jack Bauer - "24"

Sutherland was already a big Hollywood star when he took on the lead role as an anti-terrorist agent in this popular Fox series. However, most people will always think of this first when they think of the actor. As Jack Bauer, he played the ultimate cool hero. It should be no surprise that legions of fans point to Jack Bauer as one of the best television characters ever. He played the role from 2001 through 2010 and established himself as a huge star once again.

Ace - "Stand By Me"

In 1986, Sutherland broke out with a role in this popular coming of age movie. As Ace, the actor served the role of the older bully that terrorizes the four main characters. Sutherland was just one actor that came out of this movie as a star. Jerry O'Connell, Corey Feldman, and River Phoenix were among the other young actors in the movie.

David - "The Lost Boys"

Proving that he could be the ultimate villain of the 1980s, the actor appears as the leader of a bad vampire gang in this popular movie that also starred Jason Patric, Corey Haim, and Corey Feldman. Though he was only in his early 20s, the actor was already showing his commanding presence on the big screen. This is my favorite Sutherland role to date.

Doc - "Young Guns"

Though he usually played bad guys early in his career, the actor also knew how to expand his horizons. He played the role of Doc, a smart associate of Billy the Kid in this movie and its sequel. Though an outlaw in the movie, the character comes across as very warm. The star does a great job of providing balance with the other loud actors in the movie.

Freddie Lee Cob - "A Time To Kill"

The actor earned an MTV nomination for Best Villain for his small role in this popular legal thriller. The movie featured actors like Matthew McConaughey, Samuel L. Jackson, and Sandra Bullock. But it was the performance of Sutherland that really made an impact. As the leader of a band of evil KKK members, the star makes the most of his limited screen time. He manages to give us an evil character without overdoing it. This movie represents some of his most underrated work.
