After months of speculation, Khloe Kardashian and Mario Lopez have officially been named the new hosts of The X Factor, Fox announced Tuesday.

Report: Khloe Kardashian and Mario Lopez tapped to host The X Factor

"The worst kept secret in Hollywood is out," Simon Cowell said in a statement. "Mario and Khloé are our hosts. They will debut on our first live show in November and I couldn't be happier."

Kardashian had been an early frontrunner to nab the hosting gig, as the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star has a similar fan base as new judges Britney Spears and Demi Lovato. "I'm so thrilled to become a part of The X Factor family," she said. "I've been a big fan of the show and look forward to working with Simon and all of the judges. It's going to be so much fun!"

Lopez, who has also hosted MTV's America's Best Dance Crew, echoed her excitement, adding: "I love the show, and I've been a big fan of Simon Cowell and the judges for a long time. Khloé and I have been friends for years and I know we'll be a great team and have a blast."

Lopez, a Saved by the Bell alum who currently hosts Extra, and Kardashian are replacing the ousted Steve Jones, who was initially paired with Nicole Scherzinger before she moved to the judges' table. She was also unceremoniously ousted along with Paula Abdul as X Factor underwent an overhaul, leaving only Cowell and L.A. Reid as judges before the additions of Spears and Lovato.
