Kelsey Grammer takes a all from his wife!

According to actor Kelsey Grammer, wife Kayte tops the list of important things in his life. While sitting on a panel to promote the second season of his show "Boss," Kelsey set the Twitter world ablaze when he accepted a phone call from his wife mid-interview. After the majority of the audio was captured for all to hear, the actor defended his decision to accept the call. "Ah, well there are some things that are more important than others and the well-being of my wife sits atop the charts," he said when asked about the interruption. The latest bit of Grammer news might be the most entertaining, but it's hardly the only thing he has been up to this year. Here is a look at some other things that have happened for the actor in 2012.

He became a father again

Kelsey, who has four children from his previous relationships, became a dad once again when he and Kayte welcomed a daughter in July. Faith Evangeline Grammer was a happy addition to the family, but the moment was bittersweet since the couple had lost the baby's twin earlier in the pregnancy. "We were ecstatic earlier this year when we announced that Kayte was carrying twins. Tragically, we lost the little boy shortly thereafter," they said in a statement. "A glorious birth with a lingering sadness is ours today."

He won a Golden Globe

The 57-year-old star already had plenty of hardware for his role as Frasier Crane on "Cheers" and "Frasier," but he added a different kind of trophy at the Golden Globes in January. He won the award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series-Drama for his role as Tom Kane on "Boss," beating out heavyweight competition like Steve Buscemi and Bryan Cranston. Though he was snubbed by the Emmys, this honor is proof that Kelsey can do drama just as well as he can do comedy.

He was accused of being part of a Ponzi scheme

In June, it was revealed that Kelsey lost about $1 million as part of a Ponzi scheme. To make matters worse, a group of people filed a lawsuit against the actor for his alleged involvement in Staropoly.com, the website at the center of the scandal. The website used Kelsey's image in order to endorse products, but the star denies ever giving his permission. "Any claims filed against Kelsey Grammer concerning Staropoly are absurd and without merit," said his lawyer in a statement. "Kelsey has been substantially damaged in this venture, and in fact lost $1 million of his own money."
