Katy Perry is keeping it all in the family! The "Wide Awake" singer stepped out sans beau John Mayer on Thursday, Feb. 21, to celebrate younger brother David Hudson's latest single release (the musician goes by the stage name Hudson). The intimate gathering took place in the West Hollywood hotspot Bootsy Bellows.
Perry sat with her family in a booth to the side of the stage sipping on a cocktail and smiling while Hudson previewed his latest single, "Chained," an eyewitness told Us Weekly.
"It feels like everything in my life has been building up to this day," the budding musician tweeted earlier in the day. "The journey has begun & YOU are the key to my success. I have no fear."
After the show, "Katy told David she was proud of him," a source tells Us. "You could tell he was having fun with it and really loves being on stage!"
