Katy Perry and Other Stars Who Shine in Gold Dresses

Yahoo Contributor Network

Katy Perry has been a busy bee recently, promoting her movie, "Part Of Me." At the Australian premiere, the dark-haired beauty wore a stunning gold Versace dress. The mini hugged her trim figure, and the sparkles gave it that special touch of Perry flair we're so used to. Gold is a daring color to wear. Which other ladies have been brave enough to try it?

Jennifer Lawrence

Jennifer Lawrence seems to be a big fan of gold. At both the UK and Los Angeles premieres of "The Hunger Games," she wore the bold shade, and looked gorgeous! Her London premiere dress was far superior, simply because the cut and shape were more flattering, but there's no denying the actress looked great at both events.

Stacy Keibler

Stacy Keibler's gold Marchesa gown has become one of the most iconic dresses of the year. Keibler wore it to the Oscars, and it was definitely one of the more memorable outfits on the red carpet. George Clooney's lady always looks great, but in gold, she really dazzled.

Christina Ricci

The kooky actress took a step towards the normal when she attended the 2012 BAFTA awards. She looked beautiful in her golden gown, although it looked a little loose in places. Since her days in "The Addams Family," we've come to associate Ricci with wearing black, so it was nice to see her stepping out of her fashion comfort zone.

Jessica Chastain

Jessica Chastain made quite a name for herself as a fashionista during this year's awards season. However, at the Academy Awards, she donned a gold and black dress which wasn't one of her best looks. While the colors looked fabulous on her, the pattern and drop of the dress didn't entirely work. Thankfully, she more than made up for it with her other red carpet appearances.
