Nurse Who Took Hoax Call at Kate's Hospital Dies

The London hospital where Kate Middleton is recovering from acute morning sickness has apologized for a prank in which DJs from an Australian radio station called the hospital posing as Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles and were able to obtain information about Kate's condition.

A statement issued by King Edward VII Hospital on Wednesday said it "deeply regrets" accepting the "hoax call," which came in early Tuesday morning and was transferred to a member of the facility's nursing staff.

"This was a foolish prank call that we all deplore. We take patient confidentiality extremely seriously and we are now reviewing our telephone protocols," the statement said.

The same hospital has treated many members of the royal family over the years, including Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles and his wife, the Duchess of Cornwall.
