Justin Timberlake is on a high, and wants to reassure fans that his stellar performance at the 2013 Video Music Awards on Sunday, Aug. 25 was just the beginning. Shortly after being honored with the MTV Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award -- also known as the Lifetime Achievement Award -- and reuniting with 'N Sync during his 15 -minute performance, the "Mirrors" singer penned an open letter to fans on his official website Justintimberlake.com, which briefly crashed after he published the note.
"The last time I wrote you an open letter, it was in January and I promised that it would be a 'Big 2013.' Since then, from The Grammys to the release of the first part of The 20/20 Experience to the crowd's response at the VMAs, it's been a wild ride. I hope you've enjoyed it as much as I have," he wrote. "This letter is to tell you that we're not done...Not even close."
"On Sept 30th, the second half of The 20/20 Experience, 'The 20/20 Experience 2 of 2', comes out. Since all these songs were written together over a year ago, it's been so hard to wait this long to release them. I can't wait for all of you to hear The 20/20 Experience in full." He also added a short clip of the recording experience that last just 20 days.
Indeed, fans will be waiting in anticipation, if his latest show-stopping performance is any indication of what's to come. The Tennessee native was one of the biggest highlights during an eventful VMAs, receiving a standing ovation from the crowd and an outpouring of positive feedback via social media. 'N Sync's JC Chasez wrote, "Goodnight all. It was amazing supporting my friend @jtimberlake tonight. No one deserves the awards more." Other celebrities to give the artist a shout-out included Rihanna, Nick Lachey, Ali Larter, Kaley Cuoco, Chloe Moretz, Ashley Tisdale, and Jenna Dewan-Tatum.
"Catch your breath, TN Kids. We've still got the 3rd and 4th quarter to go," he said to his fan club, The Tennessee kids, at the end of his letter. "This is too much."
