Fans of Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez may be able to breathe a sigh of relief. The adorable duo who announced their breakup last weekend might be on their way to a reconciliation.

Just days after bringing tween fans the shock of their lives with the announcement that the singer and the "Wizards of Waverly Place" star were going their separate ways, the couple has reportedly had a change of heart. Their new hookup apparently started on Wednesday evening when the pop star arrived at LAX to pick up his lady love before heading back to her home for a quiet evening together. Both stars were spotted the next morning heading into the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills. Of course, the reunited couple took extra care to ensure they weren't photographed together by the paparazzi that follows them everywhere.

The reunion is a bit of a surprise given the reports earlier in the week that the Disney star had decided to eradicate all traces of the singer from her life by ignoring his constant texts and blocking his number from her cell phone. While the news of the reconciliation seems to be a good twist in the ongoing love story of the teen stars, it is destined to leave a legion of his fans once again nursing their own broken hearts at the thought of losing on out on their chance at love with their favorite heartthrob.

The youngsters join a growing collection of celebrity couples who have given love a second chance. Here are some of our favorite couples who have reunited:

Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson

: Twihards weathered a turbulent summer with the pesky stars of the new film, "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2." The couple reunited last month following a roller-coaster ride of cheating, scandal and young love angst that had swirled around them for several months. The on-again couple have been working the red carpets together showing off their reconciliation and putting Stewart's summertime fling with Rupert Sanders firmly behind them.

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel: They may be basking in the glow of their newlywed bliss, but all has not always been well in the world of the popstar and his leading lady. The couple seemed to be on their way to their happy ending when they split up in March 2011 after four years of dating. It didn't take long for them both to realize what they were missing and they quickly reunited a few months later. They were married in a fairytale Italian wedding with a celebrity filled guest list last month.

Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler: It's been a rocky couple of years for the reality star and her quarterback beau. After meeting in late 2010, the couple were on the fast track to matrimony when they announced their engagement in April 2011. Fast forward a few months and the bride was nursing a broken heart after her groom left her jilted just weeks after their engagement party. She went on to dance her booty off on "Dancing with the Stars" and he got sidelined with a broken thumb last season. The time off did the duo good and they entered the new year reinvigorated and reunited. While they still haven't found their way down the wedding aisle, they did welcome son Camden Jack Cutler in August 2012.
