On Friday, a source confirmed to Access that Julianne and Ryan had broken up.

The couple's hectic schedules are reported to be the cause of their split, as Ryan, 38, is busy with multiple jobs including hosting "American Idol" and his own radio show, and producing numerous reality TV shows for E! and Bravo.

Julianne has been on a whirlwind publicity tour of late for her new film with Josh Duhamel, "Safe Haven." She and her "DWTS" pro brother, Derek Hough, are also working a ballroom dance-themed drama for Starz, titled "Blackpool" (in reference to the legendary dance competition held in England).
