Joshua Ledet: Why I Was Crying So Much After My ‘Idol’ Elimination

Poor Joshua! He broke down when he heard he didn’t make the final two on ‘American Idol’ on the May 17 results show. Read on to find out why he was so upset!

Joshua Ledet couldn’t hold back the water works when he found out he won’t make it to next week’s American Idol finale. After the show, the 20-year-old revealed why he had to be consoled on stage!

“I don’t think I am upset about it because I was super excited for Phillip [Phillips] and Jessica [Sanchez],” he said. “I think my face from crying and being emotional and I was trying hold my smile but I definitely wasn’t upset. I felt relieved and a lot of pressure was off of me. I feel good.”

And as for how it felt to get a hug from judge Jennifer Lopez?

“Honestly I didn’t think I was going to cry, I felt good about the whole situation,” he said. “But when people come up to you and try to comfort you then the tears start coming and a whole bunch of other stuff. With all their support I lost it a little bit… Jennifer told me to keep my head up and that I was only going to go further from here.”

What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Are you shocked Joshua was eliminated?
