John Stamos

Have mercy! Former "Full House" star John Stamos turns 49 on Aug. 19, believe it or not. The actor only gets better with age, thankfully. We haven't heard a lot from him lately (aside from his Dannon Oikos Greek yogurt commercials and guest stint on "Glee"), so we decided to check in on him in honor of his last birthday before the big 5-0. Turns out, he has a lot on his plate.

Pilates Champion?

We have to wonder what Stamos does to stay in good shape. Turns out, he does Pilates.

"I started Pilates," he told the ladies on "The Talk" back in February, adding that he's the only guy that usually goes.

"They plot before I get there: 'How can we make John look ridiculous?'" he joked. "But the good thing is, I have a beautiful woman's body now," he added. "I have a great ass now."

Back to Broadway

You might not know it, but Stamos is an accomplish theater actor, too. He's currently performing the late Gore Vidal's "The Best Man" on the Great White Way with "Sex and the City" alum Kristin Davis. The pair plays a married couple.

The two might have each starred in popular sitcoms, but they admitted they've never watched each other's shows.

The dynamic duo is getting good reviews for their performances, too.

"My Man is a Loser" - Surely They're Not Talking about Stamos?

Stamos isn't only hitting the stage. The actor is set to appear in the upcoming indie film "My Man is a Loser," co-starring Michael Rappaport. He plays the womanizer friend of Rappaport, something we think he knows a thing or two about.

"It is one of those deals where you think, 'This guy has all this stuff going on,' but when you pull the curtain behind him he is really just as lonely and insecure as everybody else. So that's why I wanted to do it," he told StarPulse of why he took the role.

One scene even calls for some man-on-man cuddling between Rappaport and the "Full House" alum.

"Oh yea that was fun, you know everybody wants to cuddle with John Stamos," Rappaport said.

"Full House" Reunion

Speaking of "Full House," Stamos has said that the chances of a real show reunion are pretty slim, but he did talk about writing a full-length feature film about the show back in 2009.

"I'm working on a movie idea, but it wouldn't be us playing us," he told the New York Daily News at the time. "I see Steve Carell as [Bob Saget's character] Danny Tanner and Tracy Morgan as [Dave Coulier's] Joey Gladstone because he's funny."

Pretty sure he was joking about that, but we can dream.
