Looks like Sarah Braverman is going to be in quite the love triangle on Parenthood.

John Corbett will return to the NBC drama as Seth, the recovering alcoholic ex-husband of Sarah (Lauren Graham), a show rep confirms.

His return will overlap with that of Mark (Jason Ritter), Sarah's former beau (and Amber's old English teacher). Like Ritter, Corbett is coming back for multiple episodes, according to TV Line, which first reported the news.

"Just when everything seems to be going well between Sarah and Mark, Seth shows up and he's kind of in a darker place than he's been," executive producer Jason Katims tells the site. "And so you see Sarah really having to struggle with wanting to help him and be there for him, but also at the same time [be fully present] in this relationship with Mark that's really good and healthy."

Corbett guest-starred on three episodes last season, with which he "did such a great job" that Katims hoped to bring him back. "Even though there's so much pain in the Sarah/Seth relationship, there's also a lot of love still there," he says. "So this year we wanted to do a story that sort of takes that relationship to another level."

Corbett most recently starred on United States of Tara, which wrapped its three-season run in June.
