Jessica Simpson Gives Birth to Baby Girl
Jessica Simpson has given birth to a baby girl.
"Eric and I are elated to announce the birth of our baby girl, Maxwell Drew Johnson," Simpson wrote on her website. "We are so grateful for all of the love, support and prayers we have received. This has been the greatest experience of our lives!!"
Maxwell Drew was born in Los Angeles on Tuesday morning, weighing in at 9 pounds, 13 ounces. According to the Us Weekly, Maxwell's middle name is after Simpson's mother's maiden name.

Simpson, 31, and her fiancé Eric Johnson, 32, confirmed that they were expecting in October. "It's true — I'm going to be a mummy!" Simpson wrote on her website underneath a picture of herself dressed in a mummy costume for Halloween.
The couple started dating in May 2010 and became engaged in November of that year. This is the first child for both. Simpson was previously married to Nick Lachey for three years before the Newlyweds stars split in 2005. He and his wife Vanessa Minnillo are also expecting their first baby. Coincidentally, Simpson's other ex, Tony Romo, also welcomed his first child, son Hawkins, with wife Candice Crawford last month.
