'Jersey Shore' Star Ronnie Drops a Single & Other Reality Stars Who Try Music

Yahoo Contributor Network

Ronnie Ortiz-Magro is back for another "Jersey Shore" summer and was spotted with the rest of the cast in Seaside Heights, New Jersey, on Thursday. The roommates might have a new song to fist pump to this season: Ronnie just released a new single, "How The F%#k We Gettin' Home?!"

The song is basically about having a good time, but it has a good message - no drinking and driving!

"Waiting for a night like this, I've been waiting for so long / We don't take it easy, someone take my keys, please / I don't think I'm able to drive," he "sings" in the song.

So, he probably doesn't have a future as a singer. We still give him props for putting himself out there, though he's just the latest in a long line of reality stars that try for music careers. Who else has released a song?

Kim Zolciak

"Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Kim Zolciak released the notorious "Tardy for the Party" in 2009. The song - though terrible - was oddly addictive. She tried to make it more than a joke and performed it live several times. Sadly, it didn't work - we still listen to the song, though.

Heidi Montag

Oh, man. Remember when we couldn't go a day - even an hour - without hearing about Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt? During that time, the plastic Montag decided to become a singer and released an album Superficial. Naturally, the album didn't sell and she later admitted that she blew $2 million trying to get her career off the ground.

She wasn't ready to stop, though: In 2011, the broke Montag told RadarOnline that she was going to start working with rapper Waka Flaka Flame to restart her music career. "I want to make my own niche in the music world, that's just Heidi. It could be a Pink meets Britney Spears."

We haven't heard anything about it since.

Brooke Hogan

Much of the VH1 reality show "Hogan Knows Best" revolved around Hulk Hogan's daughter, Brooke Hogan, and her attempts to become a successful pop singer. She had a decent enough voice and released a couple of albums, though her singles never really took off on radio.

It seems like she's abandoned her music career. Instead, she's just signed on to work with talent at TNA Wrestling. She won't be wrestling, just helping to mold new talent. We think she'd be pretty good in the ring, given her height - and her father.
