Jennifer Lawrence Declares War in ‘Kentucky Against the World’ Shirt

Jennifer Lawrence’s Kentucky pride was showing Thursday as she ran errands in Los Angeles, wearing a “Kentucky Against the World” T-shirt.

Lawrence was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, but left as a teenager to pursue an acting career. The rest is history. As you can see, J.Law is still a big fan of her hometown university’s team, the Louisville Cardinals.

As with most people from the South, however, Lawrence has expressed having complicated feelings about the Bluegrass State.

Last year, in an interview with Vogue, Lawrence referenced Kim Davis — the Kentucky clerk who illegally prevented same-sex couples from obtaining marriage licenses after the Supreme Court’s Obergefell v. Hodges decision. She called Davis the “lady who makes me embarrassed to be from Kentucky. Don’t even say her name in this house.”

But hey, not everyone from Kentucky is so bad. Billy Ray Cyrus has the very same shirt!
