Britney Spears is in the news again as her fiancé Jason Trawick petitioned the California courts to become one of the pop stars conservators.
While this sounds a little fishy from the outset, there is actually nothing more to it than a man trying to make sure that the woman he loves remains safe. Trawick is not petitioning to watch over Spears' money. All he wants is the ability to take control over her well being. Spears' father Jamie retains full control of his daughter's finances.
Spears seems happier than ever with Trawick, saying that "he makes me laugh, and we are so comfortable being ourselves. I've never been happier."
It sounds like there might be no one better to care for Spears' well being than her third husband.
Spears had it tough when she was starting out. She exploded in 1999 when her debut album …Baby One More Time debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and her first tour was opening for the red-hot 'N Sync. It was almost too much too soon for the young pop sensation and she soon found herself in over her head.
Shortly after a 55-hour annulled marriage to her childhood friend Jason Alexander, Spears announced she was marrying dancer Kevin Federline, following three months of dating. "Britney & Kevin: Chaotic" was a reality show that featured their relationship and they finally married in October 2004. Spears took a break from her music career to start a family at that time. Spears had her first child, Sean, in 2005. In 2006, she had her second child, Jayden, and in 2007, she divorced Federline.
It was at this point that Spears started to lose control. She spent time at a rehab facility and then paparazzi photos popped up after she shaved her head. After all this controversy, Spears lost custody of her children.
In 2008, Spears got into more trouble when she refused to return custody of her children to Federline, and after the police showed up, she ended up back in rehab once again. It was at this time she lost visitation rights to her children. She ended up in a psychiatric ward and her father and attorney were granted conservatorship, meaning they took control of all her assets.
However, after this, she began to regain control of her life. She began to record and release music, appeared in a few acting roles and began touring once again. Then, in 2011, she confirmed she was marrying her long-time boyfriend Trawick. It sounds like Trawick is looking after the formerly troubled celebrity and one can only hope this helps her stabilize her life once and for all.
