Yahoo Contributor Network

Jason Segel has lost 35 pounds. "The Five Year Engagement" star claims that president of Universal Pictures had "forced" him to lose weight in order to be believable in the role as Emily Blunt's husband.

Jason is not the only one who is losing weight these days. Who else has been shedding the pounds lately?

Anne Hathaway

Anne's weight loss has been a "Miserable" journey. The actress is playing Fantine in a movie version of "Les Miserables." Her character sells her hair and becomes a prostitute in order to support her daughter. Anne had to chop off her hair and lose weight in order to look the part for her death scenes.

Miley Cyrus

This month, Miley had to defend criticisms that she had become anorexic. She tweeted, "For everyone calling me anorexic I have a gluten and lactose allergy. It's not about weight it's about health. Gluten is crapppp anyway."

Ali Lohan

Ali's weight loss has critics calling her "painfully thin." Pundits suspected that she was starving herself and that the weight loss has begun after she landed a modeling contract last September.

Back in September, Lindsay Lohan took to Twitter to defend her sister. "I love how haters pick on my sister yet every runway model is just as thin! My sister is gorgeous and I'm so proud of her and her career!!!!"

In March, Beyonce debuted her smoking post-pregnancy body, causing critics to wonder how she could lose her pregnancy weight so quickly. People has just named the World's Most Beautiful Woman. And in this upcoming issue, she's going to address some of the ugly rumors surrounding her weight loss and to set the record straight.

Mariah Carey

This month, Mariah proudly showed off her 70-pound post-pregnancy weight loss. The process has not been easy. As she told Shape, "I used to be able to slim down just by exercising more, but that's changed. Since having the babies, I realise that 90 percent of losing weight is my diet."

In April 2011, Mariah had given birth to two boys. It took nearly a year to work her way back into shape. Now, she can relate to people who are struggling to lose weight. She comments, "I put on 70 lbs. but if you look at me in pictures you'd think it was more like 9,000 lbs. I have a lot of empathy with people who have to lose a lot of weight."

Gladys Knight

The Motown legend may have been eliminated this week on "Dancing With the Stars," but the experience wasn't a total loss. She lost 60 pounds training and competing on the show. As she explains, "[Tristan] helped [by] wearing me out...You've got to eat healthy and you've got to put a little movement into it,"
