Jason Aldean was caught red handed in a cheating scandal, but quickly apologized.

Country singer Jason Aldean is facing the music after some unfortunate pictures showed him flirting with former "American Idol" contestant Brittany Kerr. The star, who has been married to his high school sweetheart since 2001, issued an apology to his fans on his Facebook. "The truth is that I screwed up," he said in a statement "I had too much to drink, let the party get out of hand and acted inappropriately at a bar."

According to Jason he only shared a kiss with the young singer, but he still felt a tremendous amount of guilt over hurting his wife and two children. "I ultimately ended up embarrassing my family and myself," he said. "I'm not perfect, and I'm sorry for disappointing you guys." As far as celebrity apologies go, his sounded pretty sincere. Stars issue apologies for a wide range of indiscretions or mistakes. Here are a few stars that were forced to apologize for recent lapses of judgment.

Kristen Stewart

Kristen and boyfriend Robert Pattinson are still trying to patch up their fractured relationship, after it was revealed that she had a fling with a married director, but her sincere apology might have gone a long way toward healing the wounds. "I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected," she said in a statement. "This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry."

Chad Johnson

It was a rough summer for the outspoken NFL star. In early August, the wide receiver was arrested following a domestic incident with wife Evelyn Lozada. Shortly after the arrest, Evelyn filed for divorce and Chad was cut from the Miami Dolphins. The humbled star not only apologized to his wife for the incident, but he also issued one to all of his fans. "To all the fans and supporters I have disappointed, you have my sincerest apologies. I will stay positive and get through this tough period in my life."

Dane Cook

Apparently, the comedian doesn't subscribe to the theory that it might be too soon to joke about certain things. A week after the tragic movie theater shooting that killed a dozen people in Colorado this past July, the comedian decided to try and find humor in the situation. He made a joke suggesting that the movie was so bad that viewers would have wished to get shot while watching it. The backlash wasn't lost on Dane, who thankfully realized how inappropriate his joke was. He tweeted, "I made a bad judgment call with my material last night & regret making a joke at such a sensitive time. My heart goes out to all of the families & friends of the victims."
