The ongoing Jackson family drama over who will have guardianship of Michael Jackson's children may be coming to a close.

After a series of bizarre events, family matriarch Katherine Jackson had her guardianship suspended, and the children's cousin, TJ, was awarded temporary guardianship. But Katherine Jackson's attorney said Friday that she is willing to share guardianship of the kids with TJ, and the two plan to file a request for co-guardianship next week, according to CNN. Under the agreement, Katherine would still control the family's allowance of $70,000 per month.

However, TMZ.com is reporting that the judge in the case is requiring that the children — Prince, 15; Paris, 14; and Blanket, 10 — be interviewed by a private investigator before he decides who will be awarded permanent guardianship of them.

To see how it all came to this, check out the timeline below:

July 18: Five of Michael Jackson's siblings — Randy, Jermaine, Janet, Tito and Rebbie Jackson — file a letter claiming that Michael Jackson's will (which names only his mother, Katherine, and his three children) is fake, according to People. They also demand that the executors of his estate step down because they are failing in their duties and claim that the stress of the situation has resulted in Katherine Jackson having a stroke.

July 20: TMZ reports that sources from Jackson's estate claim Randy and Jermaine are merely trying to get their hands on the Jackson family allowance, about $70,000 a month, and are doing so by claiming she's infirm and needs a conservatorship. The same day, Jermaine Jackson tweets: "I want to reassure everyone (inc all sudden medical experts) that Mother is fine but is resting up in AZ on the orders of a doctor, not us."

July 21: Katherine Jackson's nephew Trent files a missing persons report with the L.A. County Sheriff's Department, saying that Michael Jackson's children have not been in contact with their grandmother for more than a week, People reports.

July 22: Paris Jackson tweets, "yes, my grandmother is missing. i haven't spoken with her in a week i want her home now." But later that day, police contact Katherine Jackson and she tells them she is "fine" and staying with a family member.

July 23: Reports surface of physical altercations at the Jackson family compound, with Paris and her aunt Janet Jackson allegedly slapping each other, and Trent Jackson fighting with Randy and Jermaine. TMZ reports that Michael Jackson's siblings took Katherine Jackson to a spa in Arizona without telling his children where their grandmother was going.

July 24: Tito Jackson tells TMZ he wishes to remove his signature from the July 18 letter ; his son TJ drafts documents in an attempt to gain legal guardianship of the three kids.

July 26: TJ is awarded temporary guardianship of the Jackson children; Katherine Jackson's guardianship is suspended. Prince Jackson tweets that his grandmother has been "lied to" and implies she was being held by other family members.

July 27: Katherine Jackson's attorney says she's willing to share guardianship with TJ and that the two plan to file a request for joint guardianship next week, CNN reports.
