Last week, Ja Rule left a central New York prison where he had served most of his two-year sentence for illegal gun possession. He was then taken directly into federal custody to learn where he would serve his sentence for tax evasion.
Ja Rule is now in Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center after failing to pay taxes on more than $3 million he earned between 2004 and 2006. He is expected to be released July 28.
