Gwyneth Paltrow regrets using Botox

Gwyneth Paltrow must be lavishing all the attention that she's been receiving recently, because People magazine's Most Beautiful Woman keeps finding ways to get more of it. And, as Anne Hathaway has learned, one of the best ways to get attention is by going commando.

Gwyneth did just that at the April 23 premiere of "Iron Man 3" in Hollywood. She revealed that she wasn't wearing underwear by rocking an Antonio Berardi dress with sheer side panels that showed off the 22-year-old stripper butt that she's been humble-bragging about.

According to Us Weekly, Gwyneth claims that the dress was a last-minute decision and that she had no idea that it would be so risqué. During an appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," she said this about what would have been a much worse wardrobe malfunction: "I kind of had a disaster. I was doing a show and I changed there and I went I couldn't wear underwear. I don't think I can tell this story on TV. Well, let's just say everyone went scrambling for a razor."

In case you didn't get what she was hinting at, she went on to say, "I work a '70s vibe. You know what I mean?" Maybe this incident will inspire her to add an exclusive, monogrammable $450 razor to her Goop collection.

Gwyneth said that she felt "humiliated" by her commando adventure, but it's not the first time that she's used a side panel to reveal her lack of underwear -- she rocked a similar look for the premiere of "Country Strong" back in 2010.

Gwyneth Paltrow certainly isn't the first female celebrity to go commando, and plenty of other stars have talked about wearing no underwear. Here's a look at some of their stories:

Anne Hathaway

Like Gwyn, Anne knows what it's like to be despised -- her detractors are even called "Hatha-haters" (maybe Paltrow's haters should be dubbed her "Gwynemies"). So some people probably had a good laugh last year when she was photographed without underwear while getting out of her car. Anne dubbed the incident "devastating" during an interview with "Vanity Fair," but it's what she said on the "Today" show that probably got her Hatha-haters really riled up.

Anne mused, "I was very sad that we live in an age when someone takes a picture of another person in a vulnerable moment and rather than delete it, and do the decent thing, sells it. And I'm sorry that we live in a culture that commodifies sexuality of unwilling participants, which brings us back to 'Les Mis,' that's what my character is, she is someone who is forced to sell sex to benefit her child because she has nothing and there's no social safety net." So she basically compared her paparazzi photo embarrassment to the struggles of a dying prostitute. Beat that, Gwyneth.

Christina Aguilera

Christina wasn't quite as dramatic when she talked about going commando during an appearance on Chelsea Handler's show. The "Dirrty" singer declared, "I don't like to wear underwear. I like to be as free as possible at all times. It's just who I am." She also doesn't seem to like wearing pants, so it's amazing that she's not the one complaining about an invasion of her private parts.

Julianne Hough

This blonde bombshell suffered a major wardrobe malfunction when her dress ripped at a Golden Globes party last year, but her fashion fail could have been much worse. According to Contact Music, she later told this tale about her torn gown during an interview on "Vh1's Big Morning Buzz Live:" "I ripped it at the seams and it had, like, a little hole on both my thighs... which looked like I couldn't fit in my dress anymore... so I decided to rip the rest. This is the kind of dress that you don't wear underwear with and I was like, 'Oh, shoot! I better not move anymore or rip the dress anymore because...' That's all I'm gonna say."

So do you think that these ladies are crazy for going commando since photographers follow them everywhere, or is ditching underwear just a necessary evil sometimes when it comes to fashion?
