Mama June wants to prove that she's smarter than some of her reality television counterparts.

Rather than travel around the world in first class accommodations or dashing around the block in the latest sports car, Honey Boo Boo's mom is stashing the cash to provide for her family's future. Rather than splurge on the latest gadgets or the newest fashions, Mama June is putting the cash where it belongs - in the bank earmarked for her daughters' futures.

"I want my kids to look back and say, 'Mama played it smart. Not like those other reality TV people," she tells TMZ.

As for herself, June claims to never see a dime of the funds from the show, "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo." Rather than receive checks from the network, the family has decided to have the funds which are estimated between $15,000 to $20,000 per episode deposited directly into trust accounts for each of her four daughters and one granddaughter. The girls aren't allowed to touch the funds until they turn 21 except in the case of medical emergencies or to use it for school.

"TLC puts the money into the girls' trust accounts for me and then I get an email telling me how much everyone gets," she adds."

The family is getting by as they did before reality television entered their lives on the salary her husband, Sugarbear, receives as a contractor.

All we can say is wowza to Mama June for out-thinking her reality TV competition. Here are a few of the stars of reality television who have gone on to have big regrets:

Jon Gosselin: Long before Honey Boo Boo took TLC by storm, there was a little show called "Jon & Kate Plus Eight" that ruled the channel. The show which chronicled the lives of Jon and Kate Gosselin, their twin daughters and famous sextuplets was a ratings bonanza for the network for five seasons. The show soon evolved from a show featuring two parents with a very busy household to one in which the family was jetsetting their way around the world. The pressure was all a bit much for Jon, who came across as a hen pecked hubby, so he bolted from both the show and his marriage. These days, the former reality star reportedly earns his living as a construction worker.

Heidi Montag: Back in the day, she was a pretty girl on on MTV's "The Hills". At the height of her reality infused fame, the star turned to the services of a plastic surgeon to help launch her to the next level. Unfortunately that level quite materialized and the star has blown through the bucks she made during her MTV heyday. "I should have known growing up and not having any money ever that I should have kept every dollar that I had. I thought I was investing in myself and my brand," Montag has said of her poor decisions.

Ben Flajnik: He is famous for appearing on a show about love and it is that love that he regrets the most. The former "Bachelor" star regrets popping the question to former fiance Courtney Robertson and ignoring the warnings of some of the ladies from the show. He told Life & Style magazine, "I should apologize to all those women and say, 'Sorry I didn't see it.' I have really lost all respect for this person that I thought I knew and that I was in love with at one point." The couple called it quits shortly after the cameras stopped rolling last year.
