Justin Bieber on 'The Today Show'

Nowadays it seems like radio stations start cranking out the holiday tunes at Halloween. And even the most festive elves can only listen to Judy Garland crooning "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" so many times. But thanks to today's hottest young stars there are some new songs and fresh spins on classics that you might want to put on your Xmas Playlist.

Justin Bieber - "Mistletoe"

Any devoted Bieberbot would give their pile of presents from beneath the tree to share a stolen moment with Justin Bieber underneath the "Mistletoe." Just last year J.B. released the holiday track that he co-wrote with Nasri Atweh and Adam Messinger. The catchy pop tune puts a spin on the traditional holiday song with a it of a reggae flair.

Selena Gomez - "Winter Wonderland"

The Biebs' on-again-off-again girlfriend might not have a boyfriend to exchange gifts with this year. But she can get her mind of her lonely heart by walking in a "Winter Wonderland" with friends. Her modern update of the song made famous by old-schoolers like Perry Como gives the traditional tune a rock beat.

Miley Cyrus - "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree"

In 1958 Brenda Lee made December 25th cool by "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree." And now that Miley Cyrus has completely shed her good-girl Hannah Montana image for an edgier style there's no better tune for her to belt out. She recorded the song in 2007 but it finally feels like she's showing her true colors.

Taylor Swift - "Christmas Must Be Something More"

Most holiday ditties these days seem to go on about the material aspects of the holiday, but not Taylor Swift. In her song "Christmas Must Be Something More," she reflects on the true meaning of the holiday and wants to remind fans to remember "the birthday boy who saved our lives."

Demi Lovato - "The Christmas Song"

It's impossible to think of "chestnuts roasting on an open fire" and "Jack Frost nipping at your nose" without getting that warm and fuzzy feeling. So it's no wonder Demi Lovato chose to record an especially soulful version of the ultimate Yuletide tune for her fans.

Jonas Brothers - "I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas"

What do you get a super-successful member of a family singing group that has everything? If you ask any one of the Jonas Brothers, he'll most likely tell you "I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas." At least that was their request when the re-recorded the classic novelty song from 1953. Of course, it might be a little hard to wrap.

Victoria Justice - "It's Not Christmas Without You"

The show may be ending but it's still possible to enjoy a little taste of "Victorious" for the holidays. Just listen to the poppy tune "It's Not Christmas Without You" by the cast of the show featuring Victoria Justice. The sentiment that "It's Christmas and the start of something new" is fitting as the stars all embark on their next adventure.

Taylor Momsen - "Where Are You Christmas?"

Long before Taylor Momsen played Jenny Humphrey on "Gossip Girl" she took on the role of Cindy Lou Who in the live action version of the holiday favorite "How the Grinch Stole Christmas." In that film, she sweetly chirped the song "Where Are You Christmas?" Now she just needs to record a darker version with her band The Pretty Reckless.

The Wanted - "White Christmas"

Just because they're from across the pond, doesn't mean that the British boy band The Wanted aren't up for celebrating the holiday. And their perfect blend of harmonies was just right for a new rendition of the old standard "White Christmas."

Jackie Evancho - "O Holy Night"

There aren't a lot of kids who can tackle the more operatic fare available around the holidays. But Jackie Evancho isn't the average 12-year-old. The first runner up on Season 5 of "America's Got Talent" has made quite a career hitting the high notes. And her version of "O Holy Night" will leave you speechless.
