Guns N' Roses to perform at Golden Gods Awards

NEW YORK (AP) — Guns N' Roses will hit the stage at the Revolver Golden Gods Awards.

The magazine's sixth annual hard rock awards show takes place April 23 at the Club Nokia in Los Angeles.

Axl Rose will receive the Ronnie James Dio Lifetime Achievement Award. Joan Jett will be honored with the Golden God Award, given to an artist who "embodies the spirit of hard rock and metal." She's the first female to earn the award.

Jett will also perform, alongside Korn, A Day to Remember, Zakk Wylde and the Pretty Reckless, the band led by former "Gossip Girl" actress Taylor Momsen.

Album of the year contenders include Korn, Black Sabbath, Avenged Sevenfold, Queens of the Stone Age, Five Finger Death Punch and Volbeat.

Online fan voting began Wednesday.
