Rumors have circulated for months about whether or not "Glee's" Lea Michele and Cory Monteith are taking their romance off-screen. The folks at ClevverTV seem to think that "Finchel" is an item for real.

Are They Dating or Not?

These sources pointed to Valentine's Day pics of them looking affectionate and holding hands. Lea and Cory were also spotted a few days later looking snuggly at the Ritz Carlton.

ClevverTV also cited a quote from GlamourUK where Lea says, "I mean for me, if it was going to happen with anybody, it would have happened with Cory. The moment I met him I thought, 'This boy is very cute.' He's such a great friend and I'm so happy working with him everyday."

On the other hand, evidence is inconclusive. After filming "Finchel's" steamy scene by the fireplace, Lea told E! News, "He was sweating so much. I was so grossed out!...I adore Cory. He's like my brother and to have to do some of the stuff we did in front of our entire crew...it's so less sexy than you think. Really, we were in a room with like 20 people around us, sitting by the fireplace."

If she means what she says, then those words sound pretty platonic!

Should They Date?

Lea and Cory would have a lot going for them as a real-life couple. For one thing, they have fabulous on-screen and musical chemistry. They also look gorgeous together. And they can emotionally support each other through the stresses of working long hours on-set, and dealing with the media.

I actually like the idea of Lea and Cory more than I like "Finchel" right now. While Rachel and Finn are this close to jumping into a crazy teen marriage, Lea and Cory are older and have had real world experience with dating and relationships.

If they went public as a couple, this could set "Glee's" ratings through the roof, bringing the show out of its sophomore slump once and for all. Could these two become TV's "Robsten"?

On the other hand, co-star dating comes with its own set of problems and complications. Just as "One Tree Hill's" Sophia Bush.
