'Glee' Goes Gangnam Style

'Glee' Goes Gangnam Style

Lea Michele is back on "Glee" again.

New Directions deserves to lose at sectionals based on that painful rendition of "Gangnam Style." And why do the writers always insist on turning Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz) and Mike (Harry Shum Jr.) into walking Asian punchlines?

And how much more predictable could that ending have been? Marley (Melissa Benoist) collapsed on stage during the last note of "Gangnam Style" due to extreme dieting measures. What happened to Marley's claim that she would never use laxatives?

Was I the only one rooting for the "hideous" Warblers these past few weeks? Considering that this school represents "the dark side," the Warblers were the ones who welcomed Kurt (Chris Colfer) with open arms and promoted a zero tolerance policy against bullying. And Sebastian (Grant Gustin) turned in a fine performance of "Live While We're Young."

"Glee" has never been known for its continuity, but a few inconsistencies were particularly glaring. Kurt and Blaine (Darren Criss), Brittany (Heather Morris) and Santana (Naya Rivera), and Rachel (Lea Michele) and Finn (Cory Monteith) were given dramatic breakup scenes, and even Tina and Mike were given on-screen closure.

Yet the writers seem to pretend that Mercedes and Sam never happened, or that Mercedes and Quinn's (Dianna Agron) friendship never took place. And Rachel has completely taken over Mercedes' role as Kurt's BFF.

And why are Quinn and Rachel (who were frenemies in high school) still in touch, but Finn and Kurt (who are stepbrothers) don't even talk?

Hopefully some of these inconsistencies will be addressed in next week's episode. Will New Directions be disqualified at sectionals? Will Kitty (Becca Tobin) be held accountable for her actions towards Marley? Are Kurt and Blaine headed towards a reconciliation? Should Kurt re-audition for NYADA? Or is he better off working for Sarah Jessica Parker?
