'New Girl' Costumer: Zooey 'Sparkles'
Fox's hit comedy New Girl has not only won over audiences with its hilarious characters (Schmidt for the win) but for Zooey Deschanel's Jess's adorable style.
Jess's quirky ensembles don't stray too far from what hipster queen Zooey would wear in real life, and now New Girl costumer Debra McGuire is dishing on the character's Anthropologie-filled closet.
McGuire suggests that the stylish effect of Jess's wardrobe isn't solely due to the clothes itself -- but that they look extra cute because of Zooey herself.

"Everything is so darn cute on her," McGuire tells People. "The hair, the face, the eyes … every time she puts something on it just sparkles."
For those of us looking to add a little sparkle to our own wardrobes, there is one key to emulating Jess's quirky/cute style -- you have to be willing to mix and match colors.
"I thought the best thing for Jess was to do primary colors -- there's something about those that I thought really worked for the character," she says. "So she's sort of a mix of Crayola crayons. ... We're not playing it safe with color."
She also hints at perhaps the biggest style moment of the show to come -- Jess in a bathing suit!
"Recently I fitted her in a bathing suit, for a future episode," McGuire reveals. "And it just doesn't get better."
A vintage playsuit with a bow? I can see it already!
