New Girl is getting a new guy.

Bent's David Walton has signed on for a recurring role on the hit Fox comedy as Jess' new love interest, Entertainment Weekly reports.

Walton, 33, will play a "classic bad-boy type" who mistakes Jess (Zooey Deschanel) for someone else, but she goes along with it.

Walton will first appear on the Season 2 premiere, as will Knocked Up's Leslie Mann. Mann will play a "shot girl" who works at a party held for Schmidt (Max Greenfield) to celebrate the removal of his penis cast. Finally, Niecy Nash will appear in an upcoming episode as a hooker who steals Jess' purse, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Walton most recently starred as another bad-boy type on NBC's short-lived but critically acclaimed romantic comedy Bent and before that, Perfect Couples. Mann, 40, is also known for her work in The 40 Year Old Virgin and will next appear in the Knocked Up sequel This Is 40. Nash, 42, currently stars on TV Land's The Soul Man.

New Girl, which earned Emmy nominations for Deschanel and Greenfield, returns with two new episodes on Tuesday, Sept. 25 at 8/7c and 9/8c on Fox.

Do you think Walton will make a good match for Jess?
