Will Francesca Eastwood’s Purse Prank Be Her Kim Kardashian Sex Tape?

Raise your hand if you even heard of Francesca Fisher-Eastwood a month ago.

That's because the 18-year-old daughter of Clint Eastwood and Frances Fisher was a celebrity child B-lister until her step-mom, Dina Eastwood, decided to turn the director's relatively normal family into a reality TV freak show.

Since its debut May 20, E!s new hour-long mockumentary, "Mrs. Eastwood & Company," has followed "Keeping up with the Kardashians" on Sunday nights.

But unlike the Kardashian women, who pamper themselves like poodles and treat their male mates like potted plants, the Eastwood chicks have cast themselves as the anti-Kardashians, walking around with no makeup, shopping at Marshalls and setting fire to a purse that could have cost more money than most teachers earn in a year.

When you look back ten years from now, it could be the Hermes Birkin handbag stunt the media will point to as the moment the aspiring actress got her own star on the celebrity map. The new celebutante and her photographer boyfriend, Tyler Shields, hacked at the pricey purse with a chainsaw before setting it ablaze.

Shields has milked the stunt on his website, calling the photo collection "red Crocodile Birkin VS the red $200 chainsaw and 4 dollars of gasoline."

But it is "Dirty Harry's" older daughter who stands to gain the most from the publicity ploy. Unlike Kim Kardashian, the petite blonde does not have a round, curvy butt or sex tape with a rapper she could leak on the Internet, so she had to find a unique way to get noticed.

Pretty towheads are a dime a dozen in Hollywood, but very few have their own TV show every Sunday night to perform over-the-top stunts.

The initial reaction to Eastwood's attention grab may have been more negative than the wannabe "It Girl' expected. "Could have used a cheap Kmart bag. Instead, waste money that could have fed hundreds. Spoiled and clueless. Try working 4 REAL," rebuked one critic on Twitter. Another tweeted tartly, "Some of us actually have to work and live check 2 check, spoiled rotten bitch to burn 100k bag."

And in a typical Internet age overreaction, the actress who appeared in "True Crime" as a child has allegedly been getting death threats.

Over time, tempers will cool and some people won't even remember how Eastwood first entered their consciousness. But just as K-squared became a household name after her graphic sex video with Ray J, the young woman who does not even have her own Wikipedia page will look back one day and remember it all started with a charred crocodile purse.
