Kristen Stewart and Taylor Swift recently spent some time together

If Courtney Love is to be believed, Kristen Stewart wasn't the first choice to play Bella Swan in "Twilight" -- the punk rocker recently told Howard Stern that her daughter, Frances Bean Cobain, was originally offered the role at age 13.

According to Gossip Cop, Courtney told Howard, "Someone just saw a picture of her in a magazine and sent me the script." However, Frances definitely wasn't a fan of the vampire romance. Love said that her teen daughter responded to the alleged offer to star in the movie by dubbing the "Twilight" novel "a sexist Mormon piece of s**t." There's no word on if Frances started to regret her decision after the movie became such a big success, but Courtney claims that "it would have destroyed her life."

Who else could have been cast in Kristen Stewart's place?

Frances Bean Cobain wasn't the only young celeb who missed out on playing Bella. "Sucker Punch" star Emily Browning was asked to audition for the movie, but the actress said that she was just too exhausted to pursue a role in a trilogy after filming her horror movie "The Uninvited." "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" star Michelle Trachtenberg also concluded that "Twilight" wasn't for her because she had "already done the vampire thing" with "Buffy." Ashley Greene did decide to audition for the role of Bella, but she ended up getting cast as adorable Alice Cullen instead.

And Ashley isn't the only star who lucked out after losing the Bella role. Jennifer Lawrence auditioned for the part, but she later said that she was glad to get overlooked since K-Stew became such a big paparazzi magnet. The blow was also probably softened a bit after J-Law went on to score a role in the mega-hit "The Hunger Games" and win a Best Actress Oscar for "Silver Linings Playbook."

The lovely Lily Collins didn't get lucky with her audition, and K-Stew also kept the young star from scoring another movie role -- Lily lost the lead in "The Snow White and the Huntsman" to Kristen. However, the brunette beauty ended up starring in the other Snow White flick, "Mirror Mirror," before going on to score the lead role in another movie based on a popular young adult novel. And since Lily started dating cute co-star Jamie Campbell Bower after meeting him on the set of "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones," it definitely looks like everything worked out well for the young actress.

Who could have replaced Robert Pattinson?

After K-Stew was chosen for the role of Bella, the choices for the role of Edward Cullen were whittled down to four actors: R-Patz, Ben Barnes, Shiloh Fernandez, and Jackson Rathbone. Rob eventually won the part, with Jackson going on to score the role of Jasper Hale. "Twilight" director Catherine Hardwicke was impressed enough with Shiloh's audition that she later cast him alongside Amanda Seyfried in "Red Riding Hood," but the actor probably doesn't see that film as much of a consolation prize.

Long before Hardwicke and Stewart were choosing between the aforementioned fine foursome, Henry Cavill was a frontrunner for the role of Edward. Author Stephenie Meyer wanted the hunky star for the part, but he was too old for the role by the time casting actually started. Luckily, things are going much better for Cavill now. He was cast as a very sexy Superman in "Man of Steel," and some fans want to see him star in a movie based on another popular book with a "Twilight" connection -- the upcoming "50 Shades of Grey" film was born as titillating "Twilight" fan fiction. Cavill is such a big fan favorite for "50 Shades" that his rep has already had to deny rumors that he's been cast as the BDSM-practicing billionaire.

So now that Robsten's epic romance has come to an end, are you wishing that Bella and Edward would have been played by different stars? Who would you have liked to see in the "Twilight" movies?
