He's set to star once again as the Hobbit Frodo Baggins in the upcoming The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and appears in FX's quirky dark comedy series Wilfred. Here are five things you probably don't know about Elijah Wood.
1. As an eight-year-old, got his big break in the 1989 film Back to the Future II, playing the part of "video game boy."
2. Appeared in Paula Abdul's 1980s music video for Forever Your Girl, which just happened to be directed by The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo filmmaker David Fincher.
3. Founded Simian Records in 2005. The label's first album, New Magnetic Wonder by The Apples in Stereo, was released in February 2007.
4. His favorite band is Smashing Pumpkins.
5. Received an injury under his eyebrow during filming of the 2005 movie Green Street Hooligans that left a visible scar.
