Happy news for the mega-jilted ex-wife of champion golfer Tiger Woods: She's got a new man! Elin Nordegren is dating investor Jamie Dingman -- and she's been seeing him for the past several months, according to the New York Post.
Dingman, 31, is the son of billionaire investor Michael Dingman and specializes in Russian private equity investing. He previously owned an Indy car racing team and dated celebs like Bridget Moynahan and Princess Madeline of Sweden. If that wasn't enough, Dingman fancies himself as a citizen of the world -- he splits his time between China, the Bahamas, Sweden and now, Florida.
"He's never been so happy. He and Elin have strong feelings for each other," a friend told The Post of Dingman. "He's a classic all-American guy. He's handsome, a total gentleman and low-key. He's never been in the press. Elin's a very lucky girl; he's a great guy but very private."
So, what likely sealed the deal for Nordegren? "He doesn't play golf," the friend continued.
The new relationship is definitely a welcome change for the ex Mrs. Woods. She was thrust into the public eye when she got engaged to Woods in 2003. They had two children together -- Sam Alexis and Charlie Axel -- before Woods' numerous affairs broke in the media. Their divorce was finalized in August 2010.
"My immediate plan is for the kids and me to continue to adjust to our new situation. I am going to keep taking classes, but my main focus is to try to give myself time to heal," the former Swedish model told People after the divorce.
Now? Well, it looks like she's dipping her toes back into the dating waters -- and she definitely deserves it after everything she went through with Woods. The revelations had to be humiliating, but she fought through it with her dignity intact.
As for Dingman, is it likely the relationship will last? He does seem like a bit of a rich playboy, but maybe he's getting ready to settle down?
Regardless, it's not likely Nordegren will rush into anything permanent for awhile, for both her sake '" and that of her two children.
"I also feel stronger than I ever have. I have confidence in my beliefs, my decisions and myself," she told People.
Get it, girl -- you deserve it!
