Sean Combs, better known as Diddy to much of the world, is rolling in the dough, according to Forbes. The hip-hop artist tops their 2012 list of the wealthiest rappers, and is said to have a net worth of $550 million. The top-five richest rappers collectively are worth over $1 billion. That's a lot of cold hard cash!

Part of the reason for the 42-year-old's multi-millions is his deal with Ciroc vodka. Forbes reported that he "receives double-digit millions annually as a share of profits." It's also thanks to his share of the profits from sales that have gone up over the last year by 122 percent.

On April Fool's Day the talented singer's home was broken into by an unemployed man who's been accused of eating his food, drinking alcohol and wearing the rapper's clothes. The alleged intruder is being held in Suffolk County Jail on trespassing and petty larceny charges and was perhaps jealous of the record producer's fame and massive fortune. While the incident would be scary for anyone, at least Diddy has the funds to cover his losses.

Jay-Z was next on Forbes list with a $460 million fortune. The new dad who welcomed baby Blue Ivy into the world with his wife Beyonce in January, has earnings from the "Watch the Throne" tour as well as his Live Nation deal and his stake holdings with the New Jersey Nets, his 40/40 Club chain, ad firm Translation, cosmetics company Carol's Daughter and other businesses.

Diddy and Jay-Z are both in the running to become hip-hop's first billionaire. Not a bad place to be!

Dr. Dre is third in the rankings with $270 million. He's said to have doubled his fortune in just a year thanks to the $300 million cellphone maker, HTC, who paid to buy a 51 percent stake in his Beats Electronic business. That's no small change either!

The 47-year-old, whose given name is Andre Romelle Young, was in the headlines recently when he and Snoop Dog brought the late rapper Tupac Shakur onto the stage as a hologram at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival Sunday night.
