One man is short and squat; the other, larger than life. Yet in the 1988 movie "Twins," Danny DeVito and Arnold Schwarzenegger played fraternal twin brothers created by lab scientists. Now, in real life, the comic actor is copying his movie sibling by moving on from his 30-year marriage to "Cheers" barmaid Rhea Perlman.

Though no official statement has been made by the couple on the cause of the split, some media wags are speculating the "Taxi" actor suffered from the same fatal marital disease -- wandering eye syndrome -- as his hulky amigo.

According to an alleged inside source, "After years of turning a blind eye to it, Rhea finally snapped. She had enough of his bad-boy behavior and wanted an end to their marriage."

Delightful Danny DeVito a skirt chaser? The same guy people have always looked up to as the perfect Hollywood husband?

In March, the "Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia" star revealed to Parade magazine the secret sauce to his enduring marriage. "After the initial salad days, you get to be more than lovers and mates," he said. "You get to be friends. We go through ups and downs, but if there is more there than what you normally think of as romance, you can stick it out with each other forever."

The downs may have finally outnumbered the ups in the duo's four-decade relationship. A family friend explained to RadarOnline, "Danny can be quite the flirt and because of his powerful status in Hollywood, he's not ashamed to abuse his position and chat-up young, aspiring woman looking to make it in the industry.... He may not appear to be a ladies' man, but Danny certainly gets a lot of female attention."

True or not, the cheating theory has taken root as the reason for the split.

So far there have been no alleged bonus children, but comedian Lisa Lampanelli tweeted, "If their maid gives birth to a midget I'll know what happened!"

Schwarzenegger's marriage to long-term wife Maria Shriver ended abruptly last year when it was discovered he had conceived a child with the family's maid 14 years before. Though the boy's mother was of Mexican descent, the running joke at the time was the baby emerged from the womb flexing his muscles and babbling with an Austrian accent.
