‘Dancing with the Stars’ Week 7: The 5 Least Classy Moments of Classical Night

Yahoo Contributor Network

Monday night was Classical Night on ABC's "Dancing with the Stars," which meant viewers were treated to a soundtrack that included Beethoven, Mozart, Pachelbel and…. Lady Gaga?

Yes, it was pegged to be a classy night, but in true "DWTS" fashion there were a few moments that were less than. Check out this week's scores and the five least classy moments of Classical Night!

Potty-Mouth Pro

The elegant Katherine Jenkins and her partner Mark Ballas danced a beautiful rumba to Pachelbel's "Canon in D Major," but Mark couldn't resist throwing in this tacky comment: "You can't spell classical without ass." We'll give Mark a pass for just being Mark, but when it came to judging time did we really need to hear about Bruno Tonioli's juices?

Bad Romance of Song and Dance

Argentine tangos are a dime a dozen on this how, but one set to a classical piece like Mozart's "The Marriage of Figaro" can be special. So what possessed Disney star Roshon Fegan and his partner Chelsie Hightower to use Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance" as the song for their tango? It was a glaring musical mishap amid a night of classical masterpieces.

Underscore War

Can't a judge give a "Little House on the Prairie" star a break? Actress Melissa Gilbert her partner Maks Chmerkovskiy were slammed by the judges again -- and this time it wasn't entirely fair. Not only did Melissa have to tango with two Chmerkovskiys during rehearsals (Maks' brother Val was brought in as a backup in case the hotheaded pro dancer's bum ankle acted up), but she was completely blindsided when the judges whipped out their "7" paddles and made commentary like: "It looked like you were riding the cyclone at Coney Island" (Bruno) and "It was like Cirque du Soleil gone terribly wrong" (Carrie Ann Inaba). Classless move on the judges' part for their blatant underscoring of this couple, who have definitely improved each week yet still continue to get low marks.

Things That Go Bump in the Night

Maria Menounos and Derek Hough killed it with a vampire-infused paso doble, even garnering the season's first perfect score. The judges' comments left a little to be desired (Bruno: "Bite me, turn me right now"), but what really ruined this classy dance (besides the vampire fangs) was the couple's raunchy pelvic bump after the judges' commentary. It looked like Maria broke something on Derek.

Shirtless Shenanigans

Ah, the team dances. A perfect opportunity for some of the underscored to add to their points booty. Too bad this season's buffest boys were on the same team and they blatantly attempted to use their six-packs to their advantage. While Team Tango had Katherine, Roshon, Maria and Jaleel on it, Team Paso had Melissa, William and Donald, with the guys (including muscley Maks) opting to go shirtless. "If this was a body building contest, we would be screwed," said scrawny Roshon Fegan -- and he was right. Lucky for his team, it was a dance contest. Team Tango won with 27 points, but boo to the paso boys for trying to distract the judges!

This Weeks Total Scores:

Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd: 27/26/Total: 53
