Jack Wagner got the boot from "DWTS."

This week on "Dancing With the Stars" the theme was memorable years -- which was accompanied by plenty of tears, as the stars' dances were based on their most life-changing year.

Tearjerkers about broken backs, miracle babies, and the death of a friend gave us plenty of reasons to bawl. But on Tuesday night, just one star had reason to bawl. Soap star singer Jack Wagner was booted from the competition, sherbet-colored duds and all.

It was a disappointing week for Wagner to go. After sharing the ultra-personal story of meeting his daughter, Kerry, for the first time (she turned up at one of his concerts last year and revealed that she was the daughter he never knew he had), Wagner danced a samba to one of his own songs, "Lighting Up the Night," and received decent scores from the judges. (Len Goodman called it Wagner's best dance.)

But the viewers had the last word, and Wagner and his partner Anna Trebunskaya were sent packing on Tuesday night.

Of course, if you weren't a 1980s or 1990s soap opera fan, you may not know a whole lot about Jack Wagner. In addition to being an actor and pop singer, he's one of the top celebrity golfers -- and he even has a novel written about him! (Elise Juska's 2003 novel, "Getting Over Jack Wagner.")

But could the discovery of 23-year old Kerry have led Jack to his latest venture-that stint on "Dancing with the Stars?"

According to XFinity, Kerry is a ballroom dancer herself. She even critiqued her dad after his samba this week, saying, "Nice job. You got your arms right."

Following his "Dancing With the Stars" elimination, Wagner told Zap 2 It: "It was a great ride…. You know, I am going to miss Anna and kind of strapping it on every day. You really have, every day, you have a goal to get through the day and get better so you have got to kind of carry that on now in real life."

Of course, Wagner got the boot from "Dancing With the Stars" at least one week too early. Next week is "Rock Week," and oh what we would have done to see him rockin' a rumba to his 1984 song "All I Need!"

Also starting next week: The bottom two couples will have the chance to perform a "dance-off," and it will be judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman, and Bruno Tonioli who will make the final decision as to who goes home.

A second chance to dance may have been all Jack Wagner needed.

"Dancing With the Stars" Season 14 airs on Monday and Tuesday night on ABC.
