The "Dancing with the Stars" Season 17 cast list boasts plenty of familiar faces. Everyone from television legend Valerie Harper to "Jersey Shore" star Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi will be competing for this season's mirrorball trophy.

But what isn't quite so familiar? This season's batch of pro dancers! With longtime "DWTS" pros like Kym Johnson and Maks Chmerkovskiy out, there are several new kids in town.

New this season: Sasha Farber makes his debut as a "DWTS" pro. Sasha has been a troupe member for several years, but this time he'll team up with Snooki for the season. Ditto for former troupe member Emma Slater, who's been tapped to dance with comedian Bill Engvall. Also new to the cast is pro dancer Tyne Stecklein, who will pair with this season's best kept secret, Bill Nye. (You know, the Science Guy?)

According to the Wall Street Journal, for the slimmed down season (the show is being reduced to one night a week), the "DWTS" dance troupe will shrink as well: Past pros Gleb Savchenko and Lindsay Arnold will join Henry Byalikov and Witney Carson in the troupe.

But since the show is starting with a clean slate with new dancers and a new format, we're hoping it's out with the old and in with the new when it comes to the contestants as well.

That's because actress Leah Remini, who's partnered with Tony Dovolani this season, has long been involved in a feud with Sharon Osbourne, her former co-host on "The Talk" and the mother of one of her "DWTS" competitors. Sharon's son, Jack Osbourne, is also competing on "DWTS," and that means the proud mom is sure to be a fixture in the audience this season.

In 2012, Remini blamed Osbourne for her firing from the CBS daytime chat fest, sounding off with a tweet that said: "Sharon thought me and Holly [Robinson Peete] were 'Ghetto,' (her words) we were not funny, awkward and didn't know ourselves."

Osbourne fired back with: "In response to Leah Remini's continuous comments that I had her fired from 'The Talk,' let me just go on the record to say I had absolutely nothing to do with her departure from the show and have no idea why she continues to take to Twitter to spread this false gossip. Leah knows that I have never been in the position to hire or fire anyone on the show."

Of course, Mrs. O. is no stranger to "DWTS," so we'll have to see if she overstays her welcome while visiting Jack on set. According to Access Hollywood, when her daughter Kelly competed on the show back in 2009, Osbourne tweeted: "I was a pushy mother and was thrown out of DWTS yesterday."

But don't worry, she wasn't harassing Kelly's competitors Donny Osmond and Mya. Instead, a show source revealed that the doting mom was asked to leave the backstage area because of the large number of contestants, professionals, and stylists on the premises.

The new "Dancing With the Stars" cast also includes Keyshawn Johnson, Elizabeth Berkley, Brant Daugherty, Christina Milian, Amber Riley, and Corbin Bleu.

"Dancing With the Stars" Season 17 premieres on Sept. 16 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
