What Will Michael J. Fox's TV Comeback Look Like?

Michael J. Fox -- who became one of TV's biggest stars in the '80s and '90s before cutting back on acting to focus on fighting Parkinson's disease -- is planning a return to the small screen in a regular series.

ET can now confirm that the 51-year-old star has pitched the major networks with a comedy starring himself that is being developed by Sony.

Fox appeared in the highly rated '80s comedy Family Ties and in the '90s starred in the political sitcom Spin City before deciding to semi-retire from acting after the progression of Parkinson's disease, which he was first diagnosed with in 1991.

The star has continued to take smaller TV roles over the years, including guest spots on shows including Scrubs, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Boston Legal, Rescue Me and The Good Wife.
