Chris Brown wants to forget the past.

Chris Brown is on an apology tour this week to drum up publicity for his new album, "X" out this fall. On Monday, he appeared on NBC's "Today" and told Matt Lauer that he's focusing on the brighter side of things.

"I'm not really focused on the negative. Everything is positive for me," he said. "Movin' forward. Positive."

Of course, the "negative" he's talking about is the backlash stemming from his 2009 arrest for assaulting on-again girlfriend Rihanna. Oh, and his numerous questionable antics since.

But, he's all past that now and says the new album is about his growth as a man.

"It's me being honest with myself. It's me becoming on a man on record," he told FUSE of the album.

We're looking for this "man," 'cause we sure haven't seen Brown act like one in recent years. The singer has done everything from throwing bottles at Drake in a New York City nightclub to fighting with singer Frank Ocean over a parking spot.

Oh, and not to mention the childish things he says on Twitter and Instagram. Need proof? We've rounded up some of Brown's more questionable comments over the past several months.

Chris Brown to Jenny Johnson

Brown ignited a Twitter firestorm in late 2012 when he got into a heated - and sexually degrading - fight with Twitter comedian Jenny Johnson.

It all started when Johnson made a joke at the singer's expense.

"Being a worthless piece of s--t can really age a person," she tweeted at Brown.

That set him off.

"Take them teeth out when u S-king my d--k HOE," he tweeted to her, adding, "I should fart when ur giving me top."

He even brought his mom into it.

"Mom says hello," he added. "She told me not to shart in ur mouth, wanted me to s--t right on the retina."

Classy.

Chris Brown to the "Haters"

People weren't happy that Brown won a Grammy for Best R&B Album at the 2012 show. What did he in response? Gloat, of course!

"HATE ALL U WANT BECUZ I GOT A GRAMMY Now! That's the ultimate F**** OFF!" he tweeted.

Chris Brown "Owns" Rihanna

You know how people are supposed to be equals in a relationship? Brown apparently doesn't think so, according to an impromptu song he performed during a Los Angeles nightclub performance in March.

"Don't make me have to tell you again, that that's my p***y baby! It's mine babe, babe, mine. Don't make me have to tell you again, that that's my p***y, baby. It's mine, girl, it's mine, girl, it's mine... so you better not give it away!" he sang, according to TMZ. Charming!

He later claimed it was just a song, but art imitates life, right?
